I'm listenin to my two compilation cd's of Ray's stuff nonstop, and Alice in Chains:Unplugged. And Damien Rice's O, but if it weren't for Lisa Hannigan, I would've already burned out on that. I love her. Somebody needs to start a forum about her and have a crapload of live stuff. That would be awesome. I really, really, really freakin love that chick. Also some newer artists such as Morning Runner and Nizlopi. Morning Runner are a rockier band but amazing! Nizlopi are so good they will be huge soon, thier album is incredible and mellow. Definatly worth hunting for!!!

He sounds like he's from the '60s. I heard him on XPN and I seriously thought it was oldies, but he's a new British guy. XPN is a great public radio station at U Penn. That's where I found out about Ray. You can listen at xpn.org.

As for me, at the moment, I've been listening to Bob Dylan's "Blood on the tracks" and CSNY's "4 way street". I was deffinately on a Ray tangent a few days ago. It's been broken now, but most certainly not replaced.

I keep waiting. Dean Fields His voice is beautiful...completely amazing. I'm convinced that Songs On The Mend belongs in everyone's music library. Sanders Bohlke Another huge talent with a great set of pipes...he strikes me as being a lot like Ray on stage. We shall see soon enough...he's opening shows for Jason Mraz now and I'll be seeing them on Monday. There are several mp3's available for download under the media section of his site. Ben Taylor He's the offspring of James Taylor & Carly Simon so seriously, need I say more? You will swear on some of the tracks on Another Run Around The Sun that it's James singing the similarity is THAT unbelievable. He's a chip off the old block for sure. Eric Hutchinson Eric is a really great guy with an even better sense of humor. His songs range from the humorous "Call Me Back" to the heartbreaking "Jettison". He puts on a really fun live show. Brock Hillman Another stand up guy! Brock is based on the west coast but swears he'll tour more broadly soon. I'm holding him to it. Teddy Thompson Another prodigy...the offspring of British legends Richard & Linda Thompson, his folk rock tunes are addictive to say the least. He's been featured on several soundtracks and just put out Seperate Ways, the follow up to his self titled debut. He's done some collaborating with Rufus and Martha Wainwright as well. Ryan Montbleau His sound is infectious and his voice so unique. One Fine Color is in stores now and is another must have. Fun stuff. Bands I love and listen to often... Loquat Their first album It's Yours To Keep made the cut on my Top 25 of 2005 last year. Definitely worth a listen. Margot & The Nuclear So & So's With 8 members, they're a huge band with an awesome sound. They're quite unlike anything else I've heard in recent years. Nizlopi Finally blowing up in Britain, this duo has a million influences and puts a little bit of all of them into every song. Again, truly addictive music. Stabilo Happiness & Disaster has been a staple in my playlist since it dropped in April of this year. It will definitely make the cut on my "Best of '06" list this year.

A great Sunday morning listen. Mason Jennings "Boneclouds" - love the single "Be Here Now" - there are a few highpoints on this album, but it's a bit uneven.

There are some Free downloads on his official site, that can give you a good taste. Huge talent but basically an unknown artist, really great voice.
