Recently it's been a lot of Ray, Marc Broussard, Graham Colton Band, the Garden State Soundtrack, Keane, The Last Dispatch, Pat McGee Band, Stephen Kellogg, Todd Martin, and Virginia Coalition. Also, Dane Cook, even though he's a comedian and not a musician.

Off topic: Jamie Cullum's hair bugs me. I wish he would cut it really short. It almost looks like a toupee.
End rant. |

Obvisouly Ray has been in my player at home, work and in the car for the last 2 weeks straight. Also have been listening to Martin Sexton, Ben Harper, Paul Simon, Mason Jennings and Jack Johnson's compilation of various artists entitled "Thicker Than Water"
Who is Tristan Prettyman? I see many people are digging this person. |

I'm loving Interpol. I just heard of them last month, and they blew me away. I want to get their new album, is it any good?

Didn't think that they would top the debut, but "Antics" is absolute stunner! Way more catchy then the first, though "The New" is still my favorite Interpol track. If you really like the sound of Interpol, definitely check out Joy Division and The Chameleons(UK). They where both major influences for me when I was a wee young man. And as far as a new band, I feel Franz Ferdinand suites Interopl's music just fine. Their almost like a popier, fun version of Interpol.

boom boom boom (ahh ahh) | ||

Recently added to the ol' iPod were the new Green Day, Foo Fighters, and St. Germain... my friend let me listen to the latter, and the very first track sounded so familiar, like I knew it was from a movie. The next day, I remembered it from "Serendipity". Also bought Reeve Oliver's CD. In the truck, the "Garden State" soundtrack and "Trouble" have been constantly spinning...
While I'm on the computer though, it's been mainly the new Destiny's Child song, "Lose My Breath". I'll admit that. It's ridiculously catchy and makes me want to hit the clubs.

Quote: I really like listening to Franz Ferdinand, they are so much fun to dance to. Franz Ferdinand reminds me more of Modest Mouse than of Interpol. But, that's just me. Franz Ferdinand is funner than Interpol, but Interpol has some nice tunes. I'm thinking about buying Antics, that new album that just came out. Quote: They have a new song out? I'm so out of it, is the song any good? |

I should tell you... | ||
|
I keep seeing that Modest Mouse CD, and I want to buy it... same with Keane, and The Killers... bands I know some stuff, but I'm just not ready to take the plunge yet.
I bought the RENT soundtrack today. Original cast recording, so it was pricey, but definitely worth it. I couldn't get the songs out of my head (saw it last night), so I had to have the actual CDs with the booklet and lyrics. I'd love to catch this show again! |
